I've been working on finishing a digital painting project and I discovered I don't have all that much talent at it. I can't figure out which brushes to use or the opacity... Anyway, I have Corel Painter 3 and Photoshop Elements 5 (if there's no way to use these effective ly, what should I get?).

Here's what I'm looking for:

1. Some kind of video tutorial that shows how to use the programs... from an artist's perspective. I don't want a video on how to reduce red eye from pictures.

2. A good mentoring person/program available online. I'm on CA and there are groups but they're usually really crowded and I'm way behind everybody else.

I'm almost 40 and working as a teacher, so I have time off in the summer as well as most nights. I NEED HELP... and am willing to work hard for it.

Anybody?
